Ag in the Classroom
Ag in the Classroom (AIC) is a grassroots program coordinated by the US Department of Agriculture in 1981 to help students gain a greater awareness of the role of agriculture in the economy and society so they may become better citizens who support wise agricultural policies. The program is carried out in each state according to state needs and interests, by individuals representing farm organizations, agribusiness, education and government. AIC offers lessons and materials free of charge to schools, community groups and other non-profit organizations. Contact them at www.agclassroom.org to find out more!
